This focused package is for people who are considering therapy but are not sure where to begin. Across three sessions, we will explore what has brought you to therapy, begin to understand the main patterns that may be keeping the difficulty going, and identify practical stabilisation tools you can use between sessions.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so we can briefly discuss what you are looking for and whether I may be the right therapist for you.
For ongoing therapy, most clients choose to attend weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels manageable and supportive for them. We’ll discuss this together and find a pace that suits your goals and circumstances.
The 3-Session Stabilisation & Therapy Clarity Package is slightly different, as the three sessions are used within 6 weeks of the first appointment.
All sessions are carefully tailored to you as an individual. I offer therapy for adults using EMDR, CBT and other evidence-based approaches to support understanding, coping and psychological recovery. Our work will always move at a pace that feels comfortable and right for you.
All in-person sessions are held in my comfortable therapy room in Middlesbrough (pictured on this page). Free parking is available for in-person appointments.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It is an evidence-based therapy often used to help people process traumatic or distressing experiences. EMDR aims to reduce the emotional intensity of memories so they feel less vivid, intrusive or overwhelming. You do not have to talk through every detail of your trauma for EMDR to be helpful.
EMDR and trauma therapy may be helpful for people experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, childhood trauma, anxiety linked to past experiences, recovery from abuse, dissociation, emotional numbness, shame, low self-esteem or feeling stuck in patterns connected to earlier life events.
Early sessions usually focus on understanding what has brought you to therapy, your goals, and what may be keeping difficulties going. We will work at a pace that feels manageable. If EMDR is appropriate, I will explain the process clearly and guide you through each stage. You remain in control of the work throughout.
This varies from person to person. Some people notice significant relief after a small number of sessions, while others benefit from longer-term work, particularly when there has been complex or childhood trauma. We will review progress together and tailor therapy to your needs and goals. There is no pressure or fixed timeline.
Most clients attend weekly sessions, particularly at the start of therapy, as this helps build momentum and consistency. Fortnightly sessions may also be possible depending on your needs, goals and circumstances. We will discuss what feels manageable and clinically appropriate.
Yes. I offer therapy both in person in Middlesbrough and online via secure video sessions. Online therapy can be a helpful option if you prefer to work from home, live outside the local area, or find travelling difficult.
